Round Ireland Tour
Sunday, October 4th to Friday October 16th 2026.
Join us for our second Tour of Ireland! Our first visit to this beautiful part of the world was hugely popular, inspiring us to create a new itinerary that includes fresh destinations along with a few past favourites.
Our round Island Tour will travel clockwise around the mystical isle, beginning and ending in Dublin. Please book your flights in and out of Dublin Airport (DUB).
Sunday, October 4th
We begin our tour with two nights at the sublime 5-star Merrion Hotel, located in the heart of Georgian Dublin. We have stayed at the Merrion before, and it never disappoints.
At 5:30 p.m., we will gather for a welcome drink and meet-and-greet, followed by a private dinner in one of the hotel’s beautiful Georgian rooms.
Monday, October 5th
After breakfast in the hotel restaurant, we will enjoy a full day of sightseeing in Dublin. Highlights will include the Book of Kells, Trinity Library, and the Cross of Cong at the National Museum of Ireland.
There will also be time to shop and explore the city at your leisure.
Dinner will be at the Merrion Hotel.
Tuesday, October 6th
We will depart Dublin and begin our journey southwest to Blarney Castle, where we will see the famous Blarney Stone and explore the gardens. The castle was built nearly 600 years ago by one of Ireland’s greatest chieftains, Cormac MacCarthy.
From there, we will continue to Glengarriff Harbour in County Cork and check into The Eccles Hotel and Spa for two nights.
Dinner will be at the hotel.
Wednesday, October 7th
Today we will visit Bantry House, originally called Blackrock, which was constructed around 1700. Located on Bantry Bay, the house offers panoramic views of the bay and the Caha Mountains.
Next, we will take a short ferry ride to Garnish Island, known for its remarkable walled garden and unique microclimate that supports exotic plants from around the world.
Dinner will be at Eccles Hotel.
Thursday, October 8th
After checking out of the hotel, we will enjoy a full-day tour around the Ring of Kerry, a spectacular 111-mile circular route around the Iveragh Peninsula and one of Ireland’s most famous scenic drives.
That evening, we will stay for one night at The Lake Hotel, located on the shore of Lough Leane just outside Killarney.
Dinner will be at the hotel.
Friday, October 9th
We will begin the morning by traveling north and taking the ferry across the mighty Shannon River. We will then visit the Cliffs of Moher, one of Ireland’s most spectacular natural landmarks, with dramatic sea cliffs rising 702 feet above the Wild Atlantic Way.
From there, we will travel along the Wild Atlantic Way through The Burren, famous for its lunar-like limestone pavements. We will then continue to Galway City and check into The G Hotel & Spa for two nights.
Dinner will be at the hotel.
Saturday, October 10th
After breakfast, our coach will take us on a full-day tour of Connemara, a land of mythical giants, wild landscapes, and Irish folklore. We will drive along the Sky Road from Clifden, offering panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and nearby islands.
In the afternoon, we will visit Kylemore Abbey, a stunning 19th-century Benedictine monastery set on a 1,000-acre estate. The abbey features beautifully restored period rooms, a neo-Gothic church, and a magnificent six-acre Victorian walled garden.
Dinner will be at the hotel.
Sunday, October 11th
Today we continue our journey, passing through Sligo and visiting the grave of W.B. Yeats, Ireland’s most famous poet, writer, and former Senator of the Irish Free State. From here, we will enjoy views of the dramatic Benbulbin Mountain.
We will then cross the border into Northern Ireland and check into the Manor House Hotel in Enniskillen, located on the shores of Lough Erne, for two nights.
Dinner will be at the hotel.
Monday, October 12th
Today, Elizabeth will teach a full-day needlepoint class at the hotel, providing a peaceful and inspiring setting for stitching.
Our coach will also be available for anyone who would like to visit Enniskillen town.
Dinner will be at the hotel.
Tuesday, October 13th
Today we will travel across beautiful Northern Ireland to the northeast Antrim Coast, where we will visit the Giant’s Causeway. This extraordinary natural wonder features approximately 40,000 interlocking basalt columns, many of them hexagonal, formed by volcanic activity and cooling lava around 50–60 million years ago.
We will also visit Dunluce Castle, known for its dramatic setting on a basalt cliff and its sweeping Atlantic views. The castle is also famous for its connection to Game of Thrones.
We will then check into the Titanic Hotel in Belfast for two nights.
Dinner will be at the hotel.
Wednesday, October 14th
Today we will visit the Titanic Experience, located just across from our hotel. This beautiful museum pays tribute to the shipbuilders and victims of the Titanic at the very place where the iconic ship was designed, built, and launched.
We will also take a Black Cab Tour focused on The Troubles, learning about Belfast’s complex past through the eyes of people who lived through the 30-year conflict between unionists and nationalists. This was one of the highlights of our previous Ireland tour.
If time allows, we will also explore some of the main sights of fascinating Belfast.
Dinner will be at the hotel.
Thursday, October 15th
This morning, we hope to have time to visit Mount Stewart House before returning to Dublin. This breathtaking 19th-century neoclassical house and garden was once home to the Stewart family, Marquesses of Londonderry.
The gardens, designed by Lady Londonderry, have been voted among the top 10 gardens in the world.
Our final night will be at the Merrion Hotel, where we will enjoy afternoon tea in the Georgian rooms.
Friday, October 16th
Guests to return to the USA.

Please note that we will be adding a few small details to the tour over the next few weeks to make the trip as eclectic and interesting as possible.
There will also be time to stitch, shop, relax, and enjoy some leisure time throughout the tour.
If you intend to arrive before Sunday, October 4, please let us know so we can arrange extra nights at a chosen hotel.
